A team of five of our hoarded house clearance specialists arrived at 9 am on the day of the house clearance to meet the customer at his property in North West England.
The customer had been hoarding rubbish for just over a year in his one-bedroom flat decided to booked our services a week prior to our team arriving.
The customer wanted everything cleared including the furniture , as you can see from the photographs below the customer had been sleeping on a worn-out damp mattress on the bedroom floor with large amounts of rubbish and food waste surrounding him.
When our hoarded house clearance specialists arrived, the customer showed them around and left them to it, three of our specialists began clearing the kitchen, whilst the other two team members cleared the bedroom.
The kitchen had been piled high with pizza boxes, empty take out containers and rotten food. The benchtops had mouldy food waste on top of them, and the fridge freezer had been switched off for quite some time containing rotten food which caused a terrible stench throughout the flat when opened.
It took approximately 2 hours to completely clear the kitchen of all rubbish and small furniture, leaving only the sofa behind at the customer’s request.
It took three of our hoarded house clearance specialists two hours to clear this room due to all the rubbish being loose, our specialists wore the correct PPE and used large dumpy bags to pack the waste.
The customer’s bedroom took approx 2 and a half hours to clear, the built in wardrobes were filled with empty pizza boxes, and the floor was covered in food waste and pizza boxes also. The mattress had to be disposed of accordingly, it was covered in maggots and was falling apart when lifted up, the team swept the floors throughout.
After the two main rooms were cleared, the team swept throughout and removed any rubbish from the hallway and bathroom. The customer returned to the flat to lock up once our team was finished the clearance and could not be more pleased with the final outcome, he can finally move on from this and refurnish his flat.
