We recently completed a free house clearance in Dalkeith for a client whose late father had lived in the home for over 40 years. The property needed to be completely emptied before it could be placed on the market.

The House Clearance in Dalkeith
Our team arrived early and did an initial walk-through with the client to identify items they wanted to keep. The vintage radios and war medals were set aside for the family, and we ensured all personal documents were safely returned.
We started in the living areas, carefully packing up books and sorting through furniture. Some of the mid-century pieces were ideal for resale, while others were donated. The fine china and glassware were carefully boxed for auction.
The loft clearance was particularly important, as it contained boxes of old letters, medals, and photographs that had been forgotten over the years. These were returned to the client, who was grateful for their safe retrieval.
The shed was one of the biggest tasks, as it was packed with decades’ worth of tools, machinery, and spare parts. We sorted through everything, salvaging usable tools for donation and sending any unusable items to a metal recycling facility.
By the end of the day, the house was completely cleared, with all items either donated, resold, or responsibly disposed of. The property was left clean and ready for sale.
