We recently completed a free house clearance in Amble for a client who needed their late mother’s home emptied before it was listed for sale. The house had been occupied for many years and contained a variety of antique, vintage, and modern household items. The client wanted the clearance handled professionally, with valuable items sold and anything still useful donated to charity.
Customer Requirements
“My mother’s house in Amble needs a complete clearance before we sell it. She had a mix of older and modern furniture, as well as some collectibles and household goods. We don’t want anything to go to waste, so we’d like to see reusable items donated and anything valuable sold. The property needs to be fully emptied and left clean.”
The House Clearance in Amble
We arrived at the property in the morning and met with the client for a walkthrough. They had already removed a few sentimental items, so we were able to begin the clearance immediately.
Living Room & Bedrooms
The living room contained a mid-century teak sideboard, a collection of glass paperweights, and a vintage clock. The sideboard, which was in demand among collectors, was set aside for resale. The glass paperweights and clock were also identified as valuable and added to the sale list.
The bedrooms contained a mix of modern and vintage furniture, including a mahogany dressing table, a set of bedside drawers, and a Victorian nursing chair. The dressing table and chair were valuable and suitable for resale, while the bedside drawers were donated to charity.
Kitchen & Dining Area
The kitchen had a selection of vintage china, including a Royal Doulton dinner set and an assortment of silver-plated cutlery. The dinner set was valuable and added to our resale collection, while the cutlery was donated. The dining room featured a farmhouse-style wooden table with chairs, which were still in excellent condition and ideal for charity donation.
Garage & Shed
The garage contained a mix of tools, a set of fishing rods, and an old wooden workbench. Many of the hand tools were still in good condition and were donated to a local men’s shed project. The fishing rods were also in demand and set aside for resale. The workbench, while sturdy, was too large to be resold easily, so it was donated.
By the end of the afternoon, the house was fully cleared, and we ensured it was left tidy, ready for the client’s next steps in selling the property.
