The Clearance Process
Living Room & Bedrooms
The living room contained a collection of 1960s and 1970s ceramics, an oak bookcase, and a vintage sideboard. Among the ceramics, we identified a set of Poole Pottery plates and a Royal Doulton figurine, both of which we purchased. The oak bookcase and sideboard were in excellent condition and were donated to a local charity.
In the bedrooms, we found a Victorian pine dressing table, a collection of vintage handbags, and a selection of silver-plated cutlery. The dressing table and handbags were appraised and purchased, while the cutlery was donated.
Kitchen & Loft
The kitchen held a mix of everyday items and older pieces, including a copper jelly mold, a set of antique measuring scales, and an enamel bread bin. The jelly mold and scales were purchased, while the kitchenware and small appliances were donated.
The loft contained several boxes of books, a collection of old postcards, and a vintage Singer sewing machine. The books and postcards were of historical interest and were purchased, while the sewing machine was donated to a charity shop.
Garage & Garden Shed
The garage housed an assortment of tools, a vintage wooden trunk, and a 1950s Bakelite radio. The trunk and radio were identified as valuable and purchased, while the tools were donated to a local community project.
The garden shed contained old garden furniture, a collection of terracotta plant pots, and an unused rotary clothesline. The furniture was recycled, while the plant pots and clothesline were donated.
