Free House Clearance In Benton & Charity Donations

We were contacted by a client in Benton who needed a full house clearance following the passing of their elderly aunt. The three-bedroom semi-detached property had been in the family for decades and contained a variety of antique furniture, collectibles, and general household items. The family requested a full clearance, with any valuable items appraised and purchased, and as much as possible donated to charity.

Client’s Requirements

  • Full clearance of all rooms, garage, and attic

  • Sorting of valuable and collectible items

  • Donation of usable furniture and household goods

  • Responsible recycling and disposal of unsalvageable items

  • Completion within one day to meet estate sale deadlines

The Clearance Process

Living Room & Bedrooms

The living room contained a vintage mahogany display cabinet filled with porcelain figurines, glassware, and silver-plated cutlery. Among the collection, we identified a Royal Doulton figurine and a Murano glass vase, which we purchased.

In the bedrooms, we discovered a selection of vintage clothing, including a pair of leather brogues and a fur-trimmed coat, both in excellent condition. The clothing, along with various linens, was donated to a local charity. A collection of early 20th-century books was also found, including several first editions, which we purchased.

Kitchen & Dining Area

The kitchen had an assortment of retro kitchenware, including a 1950s enamel bread bin and a set of stoneware mixing bowls, which we purchased due to their collectible value. Everyday kitchenware, including plates, mugs, and a fully functional toaster, was donated.

The dining room featured an elegant oak sideboard that the family wished to part with. Rather than disposing of it, we arranged for it to be donated to a local community center.

Garage & Attic

The garage housed a collection of vintage tools, an old cast-iron fire grate, and a brass coal scuttle. After evaluating them, we purchased the fire grate and coal scuttle. A Raleigh road bike in good condition was also found, which we bought for resale.

The attic contained a mix of stored household items, including an assortment of Christmas decorations and vintage board games, most of which were donated.
