Free House Clearance In Cramlington & Charity Donations

We recently carried out a free house clearance in Cramlington, Northumberland, for a family who needed to empty their late father’s home. The property had been lived in for many years, accumulating a wide range of furniture, collectibles, and general household items. The family wanted everything cleared efficiently to prepare the house for sale but also wanted to ensure that usable items were either sold or donated rather than wasted.

Customer Requirements

“My father’s house in Cramlington needs a full clearance as we are preparing to put it on the market. There is a mix of furniture, books, and collectibles, as well as a shed and garage that are packed with tools. We’d like to keep a few personal belongings but need the rest removed in an efficient and responsible manner.”

The House Clearance in Cramlington

Our team arrived at the property in the morning and started with a walkthrough alongside the family to identify any sentimental or important items they wished to keep. Once those were set aside, we began systematically clearing the house, ensuring anything valuable was preserved for resale and usable goods were sent to charity.

Living Room & Bedrooms

The living room contained a collection of porcelain figurines, a solid oak coffee table, and a three-seater recliner sofa. We set the porcelain figurines aside for resale, while the sofa—still in excellent condition—was earmarked for donation.

The bedrooms had a mix of furniture, including a Victorian mahogany wardrobe, a modern double bed, and several chests of drawers. The wardrobe and chests of drawers were placed in our resale inventory, while the bed was donated to a local charity that provides furniture for families in need.

Dining Room & Kitchen

The dining area featured a 1960s extendable dining table with chairs, along with a collection of silver-plated cutlery and vintage dinnerware. These items were added to our list for sale. The kitchen contained various small appliances, including a coffee machine and toaster, both of which were donated, along with a selection of pots, pans, and dinner sets.

Garage & Shed

The garage and shed were packed with tools, garden furniture, and assorted household goods. The tools, including a collection of vintage hand tools and power drills, were sorted for resale. A set of garden chairs and a table, still in good condition, was donated to a local charity. Any unusable items were responsibly recycled.

By the end of the day, the house was completely cleared, with all areas left tidy and ready for sale.
