Free House Clearance In Earsdon & Charity Donations

We were recently contacted by a client in Earsdon who needed a full clearance of their late mother’s semi-detached house. The property had been in the family for over 50 years, and the client wanted to ensure that anything of value was identified while donating as much as possible to charity.

Client’s Requirements

  • Full house clearance, including the attic, garage, and outdoor storage

  • Identification and purchase of any valuable antiques or collectibles

  • Responsible donation of reusable furniture and household items

  • Recycling of any unsellable or damaged items

  • Completion within a single day to prepare the property for sale

The Clearance Process

Living Areas & Bedrooms

The living room held a beautiful collection of antique glassware, a mid-century teak sideboard, and framed artwork. Among the glassware, we identified a set of Edwardian cut crystal decanters and an Art Deco vase, both of which we purchased. The sideboard and artwork were in excellent condition and were donated.

The bedrooms contained several vintage furniture pieces, including a mahogany chest of drawers and a Victorian dressing mirror. Additionally, we discovered a collection of 1930s costume jewelry, which we appraised and purchased.

Kitchen & Attic

In the kitchen, we uncovered a collection of blue and white porcelain, an antique butter churn, and a copper kettle. The porcelain set and butter churn were valuable and were purchased, while the kettle and other kitchenware were donated to a local charity.

The attic contained an assortment of old books, a pair of brass candlesticks, and a vintage travel trunk. The books and candlesticks were purchased, while the trunk was donated.

Garage & Outdoor Storage

The garage housed a set of woodworking tools, a vintage bicycle, and a collection of gardening equipment. The bicycle and tools were in excellent condition and were purchased, while the gardening equipment was donated to a community project.

The outdoor storage shed contained a variety of old garden ornaments, a wrought iron bench, and several terracotta planters. The bench and planters were donated, while some broken ornaments were responsibly recycled.
