Free House Clearance In Hadston & Charity Donations

We recently carried out a free house clearance in Hadston for a family preparing to sell their late mother’s home. The property had been occupied for decades and contained a mixture of antique, vintage, and modern items. The family wanted the house emptied efficiently but also hoped that anything still useful could be donated to charity or resold rather than thrown away.

Customer Requirements

“My mother’s home in Hadston needs to be completely cleared before we list it for sale. We’ve already taken the sentimental items, but there’s a lot left, including furniture, kitchenware, and some old collectibles. We’d prefer anything reusable to be donated rather than discarded.”

The House Clearance in Hadston

We arrived at the property in the morning and began with a walkthrough alongside the family. Once we established what needed to go, we started the clearance process.

Living Room & Bedrooms

The living room contained a three-piece sofa set, a solid oak coffee table, and a display cabinet filled with collectible porcelain figurines. The display cabinet itself was a high-quality vintage piece, making it ideal for resale, while the figurines were a mix of antique and modern items, with some valuable enough for collectors. The sofa set, though slightly used, was still in good condition and was donated to a local charity.

The bedrooms had wooden wardrobes, bedside cabinets, and a Victorian-style dressing table with an oval mirror. The dressing table, being an older piece with carved details, was set aside for resale, while the wardrobes and cabinets were donated.

Kitchen & Dining Room

The kitchen contained a collection of glassware, crockery, and vintage teapots. Many of the items were suitable for donation, while a few rare teapots had potential value and were set aside for sale. The dining area featured a large mahogany table with six chairs, which was still in excellent condition and perfect for resale.

Garage & Loft

The garage contained an assortment of tools, garden equipment, and a few boxes of old books. Many of the tools were in working order and were donated to a community project. The loft had several storage boxes filled with vintage clothing and a collection of old postcards, some of which were highly collectible and ideal for resale.

By the afternoon, the house was completely cleared, and we ensured everything was left clean and ready for the family to proceed with the sale.
