Free House Clearance In Heddon-on-the-Wall & Charity Donations

We were recently contacted by a homeowner in Heddon-on-the-Wall who needed a full house clearance after deciding to downsize. The property had been in the family for decades, accumulating a mix of antique furniture, collectible items, and everyday household goods. The client wanted to ensure that any valuable items were identified and sold while donating as much as possible to charity.

Client’s Request

The homeowner requested a full clearance, including the loft, garage, and garden shed. They also wanted to keep an eye out for any sentimental items that may have been misplaced over the years.

The House Clearance Process

Living Room & Study

The living room featured a beautiful 19th-century grandfather clock and a selection of old leather-bound books. We carefully boxed the books for the client to review before deciding whether to keep or sell them. The study contained a Victorian writing desk, a set of brass candlesticks, and an antique globe, all of which were identified as valuable.

Bedrooms & Loft

The bedrooms contained well-preserved mid-century furniture, including wardrobes, dressers, and bedside tables. In the loft, we uncovered a trunk filled with vintage clothing, an old railway lantern, and a collection of postcards dating back to the early 1900s. The homeowner decided to keep some personal mementos while selling the rest.

Garage & Garden Shed

The garage housed an assortment of woodworking tools, an antique cast-iron bench, and a selection of enamel advertising signs. The garden shed contained old gardening tools and a set of wrought-iron plant stands, which were later donated to a local charity shop.
