Free House Clearance In Longhorsley & Charity Donations

We were recently called to a property in Longhorsley, Northumberland, to carry out a full house clearance following the passing of the homeowner. The client, who lived outside the area, needed a professional service to clear the house efficiently while ensuring any valuable or sentimental items were identified and set aside.

Client’s Requirements

  • Full clearance of a three-bedroom detached house, including the loft and garage

  • Identification of valuable antiques and collectibles

  • Ethical disposal through recycling and charity donations

  • Completion within one working day

The House Clearance Process

Main Living Areas & Bedrooms

The living room featured a range of quality furniture, including a vintage oak dresser and an elegant mahogany coffee table. As we carefully sorted through the shelves and cabinets, we found a collection of rare 19th-century porcelain figurines, which we appraised and set aside for the client. The bedrooms contained a mix of vintage and modern furniture, along with a trunk full of old military medals, which the family wished to keep.

Kitchen & Dining Room

In the kitchen, we discovered a full set of Wedgwood dinnerware, which had been passed down through generations. The dining room housed a beautiful Welsh dresser filled with vintage crystal glassware and silver-plated serving trays. After discussing with the client, they decided to sell some of the silver-plated items, while the glassware was donated to a local charity.

Garage & Loft Discoveries

The garage contained a variety of well-preserved woodworking tools, including a set of chisels and a rare vintage Stanley hand plane. The loft revealed a collection of old vinyl records and a box of postcards from the early 20th century, which the client was thrilled to reclaim.
