They wanted to ensure any valuable items were appraised, with the rest being donated to charity or responsibly disposed of.

  • Assessment and purchase of any valuable antiques or collectibles

  • Donation of usable furniture and household goods to local charities

  • Completion within one day to align with estate sale preparations

The House Clearance Process

Living Room & Bedrooms

The living room contained a beautiful Victorian mahogany bookcase filled with leather-bound books, which we purchased along with a collection of porcelain figurines and a vintage mantel clock. The client also had a mid-century coffee table and a well-preserved Chesterfield armchair, both of which we arranged to sell.

The bedrooms contained solid oak wardrobes and a collection of 1950s linen, which was in excellent condition and donated to a local charity. A small collection of vintage costume jewellery was discovered in one of the drawers, and after appraisal, the family decided to sell these items.

Kitchen & Garage

The kitchen held a variety of vintage enamelware, which was assessed and purchased. General cookware, small appliances, and tableware were boxed up and donated to charity.

The garage was filled with tools, old bicycles, and a Victorian cast-iron fireplace that had been stored away for years. The fireplace was a particularly interesting find, and after consultation with the client, we arranged for its sale to an architectural salvage specialist. The tools and bicycles were either donated or recycled appropriately.
