Free House Clearance In Pegswood & Charity Donations

We recently completed a free house clearance in Pegswood for a family who needed to clear their late father’s home before selling it. The house had been lived in for over 40 years, and the family wanted to ensure that as many items as possible were reused, either through resale or donation.

Customer Requirements

“My father’s house in Pegswood needs to be fully cleared before we can put it on the market. He kept a lot of furniture, collectibles, and general household items over the years. We’ve taken the sentimental items, but we need the rest of the house emptied. We’d love for anything in good condition to be donated rather than wasted.”

We arrived in the morning and did a walkthrough of the property with the family. Once we confirmed what needed to go, we began working room by room.

Living Room & Bedrooms

The living room contained a vintage leather sofa, a large wooden bookcase filled with novels, and a sideboard with various ornaments. The leather sofa was slightly worn but still usable, so we arranged for it to be donated. The bookcase was ideal for resale, as was the sideboard, which was a solid oak piece in excellent condition.

In the bedrooms, we cleared out wardrobes, bedside cabinets, and a vintage dressing table with a mirror. The wardrobes and cabinets were modern and in great condition, making them perfect for donation, while the dressing table had antique value and was set aside for resale.

Kitchen & Dining Area

The kitchen contained various small appliances, including a coffee machine, toaster, and blender, all of which were in working order and donated. The dining area had a large extendable table with chairs, which we identified as a valuable vintage piece, making it ideal for resale.

Garage & Loft Spaces

The garage had an assortment of tools, a set of vintage suitcases, and a collection of old paintings. Many of the tools were still usable and were donated to a local community project. The vintage suitcases had a collector’s appeal, so we took them for resale, along with a few of the framed paintings that were in good condition.

By the afternoon, the property was fully cleared, and we made sure everything was left neat and tidy for the family.
