Free House Clearance In Ponteland & Charity Donations

We recently carried out a full house clearance in Ponteland for a retired couple who were downsizing to a smaller property. After living in their home for over 30 years, they had accumulated a mix of antique and modern furniture, household goods, and collectibles. They wanted the house cleared efficiently while ensuring usable items were donated rather than wasted.

Customer Requirements

“We’re moving to a smaller home and need our current house in Ponteland cleared. We’ve taken the essentials, but the rest needs to go. There’s quite a bit of furniture, some antiques, and general household items. We’d love to see things donated where possible, and we’re happy for any valuable pieces to be sold to cover your costs.”

The House Clearance in Ponteland

Our team arrived early and began with a walkthrough to confirm which items the couple wanted to keep. Once those were set aside, we started systematically clearing the house room by room.

Living Room & Bedrooms

The living room contained a Chesterfield leather sofa set, a Victorian mahogany coffee table, and a collection of decorative porcelain. The Chesterfield set was still in excellent condition, so we arranged for it to be donated to a local charity. The Victorian coffee table and a selection of porcelain figurines were set aside for sale due to their antique value.

In the bedrooms, we cleared out a pair of large Edwardian wardrobes, a vintage dressing table with an ornate mirror, and a selection of modern bedside cabinets. The antique wardrobes and dressing table were marked for resale, while the modern bedside cabinets and bedding were donated.

Kitchen & Dining Room

The kitchen was packed with quality cookware, a vintage dinner set, and a nearly new microwave and toaster. We donated the modern kitchen appliances, while the vintage dinner set, featuring an intricate floral design, was kept for sale.

The dining room had a solid oak table with six matching chairs, a sideboard filled with glassware, and a framed set of vintage botanical prints. The table and chairs were donated, while the glassware and framed prints were kept for resale.

Garage & Loft

The garage contained a variety of power tools, gardening equipment, and several boxes of old books. Usable tools were donated to a local community project, while the old books were sorted—some rare editions were marked for resale, and the rest were donated.

The loft contained a mix of vintage suitcases, old board games, and an assortment of decorative items. The vintage suitcases were valuable to collectors, so we set them aside for sale, while the board games and bric-a-brac were donated.

By early afternoon, the entire property was cleared, and we gave it a final sweep, leaving it tidy and ready for the new owners.
