We recently carried out a full house clearance in Seaton Delaval for a family who had inherited a relative’s property. The house had been unoccupied for some time, and they needed it cleared quickly so they could prepare it for sale. They wanted to ensure any valuable or antique items were sold while donating as much as possible to local charities.
Customer Requirements
“We inherited my late uncle’s house in Seaton Delaval, and it needs a full clearance. It’s been unoccupied for a while, and there’s a mix of old and modern furniture, kitchenware, and personal belongings. We’d like to make sure anything useful goes to charity, and we’re happy for you to sell any valuable antiques to cover the cost of the clearance.”
The House Clearance in Seaton Delaval
Our team arrived early in the morning and started by walking through the property with the family. They identified a few sentimental items they wanted to keep, and we then began the process of sorting and clearing each room.
Living Areas & Bedrooms
The living room contained a vintage oak display cabinet, a 1960s three-piece sofa set, and a collection of porcelain ornaments. The sofa set was still in good condition, so we arranged for it to be donated to a local charity. The oak cabinet and a few of the porcelain ornaments were valuable enough to be sold.
In the bedrooms, we cleared out a mahogany wardrobe, a dressing table with an oval mirror, and several chests of drawers. The wardrobe and dressing table were antique, so we set them aside for resale. The modern chests of drawers and wardrobes were donated to a local charity shop.
Kitchen & Dining Area
The kitchen was filled with a mix of vintage and modern cookware, as well as a collection of decorative plates. A large oak dining table with six upholstered chairs took up most of the dining area. Since the dining set was in excellent condition, we arranged for it to be donated. The decorative plates were collectible, so we set them aside for sale.
Garage & Loft
The garage contained a variety of old tools, a vintage bicycle, and several boxes of books and records. Many of the tools were still functional, so we donated them to a local community project. The vintage bicycle was valuable, so it was set aside for sale along with a selection of rare records.
The loft had several trunks filled with old clothes, documents, and miscellaneous household items. We sorted through everything carefully, ensuring that personal papers were returned to the family, and any clothing in good condition was donated.
By mid-afternoon, the house was completely cleared, and we left it in a tidy condition, ready for sale.
