Free House Clearance In Swarland & Charity Donations

We were contacted by a homeowner in Swarland, Northumberland, who needed a full house clearance following the sale of their late parents’ property. The family had already removed personal keepsakes but needed the rest of the house professionally cleared, ensuring valuable and sentimental items were identified before disposal.

Client’s Requirements

  • Full clearance of a three-bedroom bungalow, including a garage and shed

  • Identification of any antiques or valuable collectibles

  • Responsible disposal with donations to local charities

  • Completion within one day due to the upcoming sale completion

The House Clearance Process

Living Areas & Bedrooms

The living room contained a selection of well-preserved 1960s furniture, including a G-Plan coffee table and a vintage cocktail cabinet, which we identified as potentially valuable. The bedrooms had various wooden wardrobes and chests of drawers, as well as a collection of vintage linens and embroidered tablecloths, which we donated.

Kitchen & Dining Room

The kitchen featured an old farmhouse-style table, which we arranged to donate to a local charity shop. We also found a collection of silver-plated serving trays and cutlery, which the family had overlooked, and they opted to sell these along with a boxed set of fine bone china dinnerware.

Garage & Shed

The garage contained a variety of old tools and equipment, including a vintage cast-iron vice that we purchased. The shed housed an assortment of garden ornaments, including a pair of Victorian stone planters, which the family had no use for and chose to sell.
