A client in Whitley Bay contacted us to clear their late parents’ three-bedroom semi-detached home. The property had been in the family for over 50 years, and the client wanted to ensure that any valuable or sentimental items were identified while the rest of the household contents were either sold, donated, or disposed of responsibly.

-
Identification and purchase of valuable antiques and collectibles
-

-
Completion of the clearance within one working day
The Clearance Process
Living Room & Dining Area
The living room contained a mix of mid-century furniture, including a teak G-Plan sideboard and a pair of Danish-style armchairs. After assessing their condition, we purchased these items along with a set of 1960s ceramic vases. The dining area featured a vintage oak table and chairs, which we also acquired.
Bedrooms & Attic
The master bedroom held a Victorian pine wardrobe and a collection of vintage handbags, both of which we purchased. The second bedroom contained an assortment of silver-plated cutlery and decorative glassware, while the third bedroom, once used as a study, had a selection of old maps and framed prints.
The attic was filled with boxes of books, clothing, and family memorabilia. Among them, we found a small collection of war medals, which we appraised and bought. The remaining items were sorted for charity or disposal.
Garage & Garden Shed
The garage contained a variety of hand tools, an old fishing rod collection, and a vintage bicycle. We purchased the fishing rods and the bicycle, while the tools were donated to a local community project. The garden shed held a collection of planters, garden furniture, and a metal fire pit, most of which were in good condition and suitable for donation.
