Free House Clearance In Widdrington Station & Charity Donations

We recently completed a free house clearance in Widdrington Station for a homeowner who needed to clear their late father’s property before selling it. The house had been occupied for many years and contained a mix of antique, vintage, and modern items. The family wanted everything removed efficiently but also hoped that as many items as possible could be reused rather than sent to waste.

Customer Requirements

We’ve taken the personal items we want to keep, but there are still a lot of furnishings, collectibles, and general household goods left. The House Clearance in Widdrington Station

Our team arrived in the morning and carried out a walkthrough with the client to identify any remaining sentimental items. Once we confirmed everything that needed to be removed, we began sorting and clearing the house.

Living Room & Bedrooms

The living room contained a traditional wooden bookcase filled with old hardback books, a leather three-seater sofa, and a collection of brass ornaments. The bookcase was a solid, high-quality vintage piece, making it ideal for resale, while the books were carefully sorted—some were valuable, while others were donated to a charity shop. The brass ornaments were a mix of antique and modern decorative pieces, with a few collectable ones set aside for sale.

The bedrooms contained Victorian-style wardrobes, a mahogany chest of drawers, and a small writing desk. The chest of drawers had a classic design, making it suitable for resale, while the writing desk was also a desirable vintage piece. The wardrobes, though still in good condition, were donated to charity.

Kitchen & Dining Area

The kitchen had an assortment of crockery, cookware, and glassware, much of which was donated. The dining area featured a sturdy oak table with four matching chairs, all in excellent condition, making them ideal for resale. We also found a collection of silver-plated cutlery, which had some value and was set aside for sale.

Garage & Loft

The garage contained various tools, a set of garden chairs, and a vintage bicycle. Many of the tools were still usable and were donated to a local charity supporting community projects. The garden chairs were also donated, while the vintage bicycle had some collector’s value and was set aside for resale.

The loft contained several boxes of miscellaneous household items, including some old toys and a collection of vintage postcards. While most of the items were donated, the postcards were examined, and a few rare ones were set aside for sale.

By the end of the day, the house was completely cleared, with all valuable items carefully sorted, and anything reusable donated to local charities.
