Hi, looking for some advice please. I recently cleared out a relative hoarded apartment and during the clear out we came across a number of valuable looking antique items to which we know nothing about.
My question is can any of you guys recommend a free online antique appraisal and valuation service.
Pictures of the items we uncovered below, thank you for any help that can be given.

Hi Christina, do not bother wasting your time with these sites that advertise FREE antique appraisal services, there is no such thing as free, always a catch as I recently found out.
I came across a site called mr-expert and uploaded pictures of my antiques with description etc, 2 days later got a reply from mr-expert. Complete waste of time, no history on the item and a value that made no sense and his affiliate links for me to click on to an auction site.
Like the saying goes, no such thing as free, I ended up using a proper paid for service in the end.
JJ, I know what you mean regarding that free service I fell for it also, nothing but a con and a waste of time.
Christina use antiqueappraisals.net or value my stuff, they are the only two proper valuation sites online.
When clearing our mums house last year we needed a few items valued and appraised for inheritance reason we used antiqueappraisals.net, good service.
p.s. Your bookcase is beautiful, reminds me of my childhood as gran had one very similar.
Christina, my advice go for a proper paid service like the ones mentioned above, the free online antique appraisal and valuation sites are a waste of time.
The free appraisals services give no history of your item and a silly value, all they do is try to get you to click on their affiliate links in their reply email, don’t bother.
Hey, love your items. I think the pot is Chinese and called rose mandarin.
Like the others advise keep well away from the FREE ANTIQUE APPRAISAL SERVICES – CON
Use somewhere like antiqueappraisals.net or valuemystuff and get your items correctly appraised.
mr-expert free antique appraisal service valued my item at $300 to $600, such a wide discrepancy, no history given. Just a generic email I suspect is sent to every person. They tried to get me to click on their affiliate link to sell my item on catawiki auction.
My own fault should have known better. My advice go with one of the proper valuation services mentioned above.
Also, your pocket watch looks silver, and I am sure it is a ladies watch, nice piece.
Hi Christina, I personally checked out some free antique appraisal services including the one mentioned by our users above.
I also was sent no history on a test piece I uploaded and a valuation estimate that made no sense, also the reply email contained affiliate links to an auction site. In my opinion you would be better going for a paid service and giving the free antique appraisal services a miss.
